Dressing-up

It’s been a while since I last wrote on my blog. From now on I promise I will write more often about my experience in fashion and make-up land.

I did a nice show on Saturday for Jeanny D. at the Jo’burg Food and Wine Experience in the Coca Cola Dome. There were 8 beautyful girls to be made up and me and Diana did the make-up and Ian Swann did the hair. The look we were going for was Kate Moss’ latest collection campain for Topshop, using strong winged black eyeliner on the top lid and under-eye, nude glossy lips and messy, out of bed hair. It’s still one of my favorite hair styles, so sexy…

Unfortunately I didn’t have time to see the actual show, as I had to rush off to a Halloween-goddess-birthday party from one of Jo’burg’s best stylists, Jodie Stinson. This time it was me who could play dress up, as a 40’s goddess with a modern twist, wearing big feathery lashes and a red mouth. Hopefully I can upload some pics soon of these events, but as a not-so-experienced blogger not sure jet how to do this. David help!

Wendy Spinks

Wendy is a freelance stylist, fashion designer, image consultant and artist. Wendy is based in Jo’burg and works for fashion and advertising shoots. She has also written a childrens program for television. Wendy and me worked on many shoots together, some of which are featured on my portfolio.

Corne v.d. Merwe

Corne is a Jo’burg based, freelance stylist. She works on fashion-, advertising-, stills- and lifestyle projects, and is the in-house stylist of You & Huisgenoot Magazine. We have worked on many shoots together, some of wich are featured on my portfolio.

Antti Viitala

Antti is a Helsinki (Finland) based photographer, but spents some of his time in Cape Town as well. Antti is with One League agency in Cape Town. When I was living in Helsinki I did some advertising campaigns with him, some of which is featured on my portfolio.
